About us – How we work

Project Selection
We receive applications for funding throughout the year; the Regional Manager reviews each application. Those applications that meet our funding criteria are presented to the board of Trustees, who will then decide if they would like to pursue the application; if so, more discussions, meetings and site visits will take place. If the application is ultimately successful then agreements are made on project design, implementation, monitoring, time-frame, reporting and budgeting and the partnering experience will begin.

Occasionally the Trust will be approached by a donor who would like to fund a project in a specific sector. If the sector falls within our remit then we will work with the donor to find the right organisation and the right programme, supporting the donor throughout the entire process to ensure their satisfaction and create a strong relationship between the donor and the chosen organisation.

Monitoring
The Trust employs a Regional Manager in India to support all the projects and consistently monitor their progress. External consultants provide specific expertise as needed.

Reporting
Regular reports are received from all of our project partners and forwarded to that project’s donors for review.

The Trust issues an annual newsletter detailing all the current projects and reviews from the previous year. Click here if you would like to join our newsletter mailing list.
