Donations

We strive to make most effective use of each and every one of the donations that we receive.

All donations to The Savitri Waney Charitable Trust are directed to our work in India. All administration costs are covered by the interest on the Trust’s corpus that was provided by our founders, the Waney family. This means that 100% of your donation is directed to the project of your choice.

In India a little goes a very long way… to give you an idea:

£15 will subsidise a cataract surgery at Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital in Bihar

£35 will cover the entire cost of a cataract surgery under the Mission for Vision programme

£145 ensures a mother and child’s health and wellbeing in the Help a Mother Save a Baby (HAMSAB) project, from conception until the child reaches 24 months

£300 will meet the annual salary of one of our community health workers in Nasik, Maharashtra

£570 will construct a well and improve the income generation capacity of  2-3 poor farmers.

There are many ways in which you can become a donor of The Savitri Waney Charitable Trust and enhance the lives of the poor in India. Please see our links on the left for how you can make your donation.
