All donations to The
Savitri Waney Charitable Trust are directed to our
work in India. Administration costs are taken from the
interest on the Trust’s corpus that was provided by our
founders, the Waney family. This means that 100% of your
donation is directed to the project of your choice.
In India a little goes a very long
way to give you an idea:
As little as £15
will cover the entire cost of a cataract surgery under
the Mission for Vision programme.
This includes
transportation to the hospital, food, accommodation and
medication as well as the operation itself.
£250 will meet
the annual salary of one of our primary health workers
in Nasik, Maharashtra.
£400 will cover
the annual salary of one of our teachers at Sirasu
school in the Himalayas.
We strive to
make most effective use of all the donations that we
receive.
There are many
ways in which you can become a donor of The Savitri
Waney Charitable Trust and enhance the lives of the poor
in India.
